Les Dames de Escoffier
Les Dames d’ Escoffier International is the only organization of its kind: a worldwide society of professional women of high achievement in the fields of food, fine beverages and hospitality consisting of over 44 chapters. Membership is by invitation only. Each member has at least 5 years professional experience and all have distinguished themselves in their fields. Kari Bernardi is a Dames d’ Escoffier of the Monterey Bay Chapter as a result of her marvelous cooking contributions to our community. We are proud to have her in our organization.

Chef Kari did wonders for our students at Central Coast High School. I deeply valued the philosophy around food and healthy living she brought to our school and shared with our students. She not only helped students learn important technical skills in the kitchen, but also connected them to a positive school experience and helped them broaden their culinary horizons. Her positive energy, warmth, and ability to adapt endeared her both students and staff. We deeply miss Chef Kair and are grateful for all she did at our school.
